Rift Leveling Guide

In this Rift leveling guide, I will be revealing the best strategies for leveling up quickly and easily in Rift Planes of Telara.

If you have not yet played the game, leveling itself is quite easy. You can literally easily and quickly go from levels 1-50 without much effort at all; just going from quest hub to quest hub.

You even get quests which direct you to quest hubs themselves, so nothing is really hidden. If you just work on every quest you are given, you will hit level 50 easily.

The problem most players have which causes them to level up slowly is that they do not make good use of their time. Having to choose between Rifts, Invasions, Quests, PvP, and dungeons leaves players without direction when choosing their leveling routes.

As a result, I will be focusing this Rift Leveling guide on tips and strategies for maximizing leveling speed. There are times when each of these modalities is the most effective way to earn experience points.

Questing

Questing is most likely how you will earn most of your experience points. If you are very far ahead or very far behind of the average level player, you will be relegated to questing for a lot of your experience points simply because the other methods require the presence of other players.

As mentioned earlier, questing is quite easy. All of the quests are marked on your map (waypoints for hidden items, NPCs, and more). Each questing camp will eventually give you a quest to move to the next questing area.

There are two things you should know about questing and alone these tips will make this Rift leveling guide worth it.

First off, notice how whenever you get accept a quest, sometimes neighboring NPCs will be triggered to offer you a quest. Sometimes simply accepting a quest is a trigger for this to occur.

Whenever this happens, know that the quests are part of a group. In order to advance in the quest chain, you will have to complete all of the quests offered in that spot.

To clarify: let’s say you have a quest to go to a new questing camp. Upon arriving, there is 1 NPC (computer controlled characters) who will offer you a quest. When you accept her quest, 2 or 3 neighboring NPCs will suddenly offer quests as well. This “trigger” lets you know the quests are grouped.

This is relevant because you will want to complete all of these “grouped” quests at the same time. If you complete one and return to camp, you will not be offered any new quests from the NPC you turned the item in to. Instead, you will have to complete all of the grouped quests before you advance in the questline.

The take-away message is that you always want to do all of your quests at once before returning to camp to turn your quests in.

The other thing that makes questing faster is to always try to perform quests slightly lower level than you are. Even if you are 3-4 levels above the quest’s recommended range, you can still do it for full experience point gain. This makes questing a lot easier.

Note that in this Rift leveling guide I never recommend doing quests above your level. If you get to a point where the quests offered exceed your current level, you should take a break from questing and try one of the other methods of experience point gain.

The advantage to this approach is that you can do a quest a few levels below you much, much faster than one at or above your current level. You kill monsters faster, which allows you to complete quest objectives faster.
